Starting Up

Q: How do I create an account?

A: Simply click here and you will be directed to set up an account.

Q: How do I change my password?

A: Simply head over to your profile (by clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner). Once in your profile click “Settings” – “General” – “Change password”.

Q: How do I change the email address associated with my account?

A: Simply head over to your profile (by clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner). Once in your profile click “Settings” – “General”. Enter your new email address in the box titled “Account Email”.

Q: Why are some stocks not coming up?

A: Whilst we try to have every stock available for you to comment on, some may not be available due to their popularity or depending on the market they are traded on. If you would like to request a specific stock, please contact us here.

Q: How do I turn off notifications?

A: To turn off notifications head over to your profile (by clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner). Once in your profile go to “Settings” – “Email”. Here you can either turn friendship notifications on or off.

Q: Am I able to privately message my friends?

A: Currently, this is not a feature within our site. You are able to see what your friends have commented on different stocks. If you would like to see this feature added in the future please contact us here and leave your request. 

Q: I have an idea about how to improve the site, how do I request it?

A: Please contact us here.

Q: There is a “1” (or any other number) above my profile. What is it?

A: This indicates that another user has requested to be your friend and/or accepted your friend request. If you want to remove the number from your icon, head over to “Profile” – “Friends”. It could also indicate that someone has replied/mentioned you in a comment. Head over to “Profile” – “Comments” – “Mentions”.

Q: I haven’t received my activation email for my new account, where is it?

A: Sometimes, the activation email takes a few minutes to arrive in your inbox. Still not arrived? Check your junk or contact us and we can activate it for you!

Q: How do I remove or change my profile picture?

A: As of now, you are unable to add a profile picture to your account. However, if you sign up with Google+, Twitter or Facebook, your profile picture on TrendyToros.com will be the same. 

Q: Why do I keep getting signed out when I change pages?

A: This may be happening due to your browser caching the web pages. Please clear your browser cache and it should not happen again. If it does, please contact us.
